Background: the aim of this study was to disscuss indications and evaluate the treatment results of periampullary cancers. Methods: retrospective of 122 patients with periampullary cancers underwent surgery treatment at Hue central hospital. Diagnosis by biopsy after operations. Results: Average age data 63,89 :!: 7,32 (33 - 87). There were 70,26 percent pateints over 60 years old. Sex ratio male/famle = 2. Predominant symptoms included: jaundice (81.15 percent), anorexia (96.72 percent), abdominal pain (79.51 percent). All patients had computed tomography of abdomen. There were 99/122 (81.15 percent) patients who had endoscopic retrograde cholangio pancreatography. Complications after surgery was: fistule of pancreas 9 (4.92 percent), digestive bleeding 2 (1.64 percent) and overall mortality after resection (7.38 percent). Concluswns: ampullary cancer had a higher rate of resection performed than different periampullary cancers. Survival 2 years after surgery was 54.41 percent. Fistule of pancreas was severe and this complication is usually very high.
