In recent years, the number of resorts and tourists has been highly increasing in coastal tourism areas. This increase causes many adverse social and environmental impacts. This article introduces some tourism carrying capacity assessment methods based on formulation and criteria. Tourism planners and managers can assess appropriately capacity in coastal touristic areas to reduce negative impacts.
