In addition to the Political-Security pillar, the Economic pillar, the Social-Cultural pillar in the three ASEAN pillars is receiving an increasing attention from the public. The three pillars complement each other for the community's development and prosperity. At the 14th ASEAN Summit on 1 st March, 2009 in Hua Hin - Thailand, the ASEAN leaders have adopted the comprehensive plan for the ASEAN Social Cultural Community (ASCC) with six prioritized areas. The ASEAN countries have carried out many points in this 2009-2015 large program that cover 40 parts with 340 items of activity in relation to ASEAN members cultural, social and mass media activities. However, to attract more interest and draw the participation from the public in this program, more international information is needed
the mass media should make more efforts in a wider, deeper and more professional manner and more exchanges in this connection should be held. This writing reviews a number of exchanges and social - cultural cooperation among the ASEAN members and with its partners and makes some recommendations to promote international information on the ASCC.
