A Cross-sectional study among 196 children aged 24-59 months including anthropometric measurement, 24 hours recall of child's food intake from 90 mothers and group discussions to gather information on nutrition, diet and food availability in the local. The results showed that The rate of stunting malnutrition was 29.1 percent (H/A), underweight (W/A) was 24.5 percent and wasting (W/H) was 14.3 percent. The average diet of children 24-35 months has met the needs recommendations on protein and energy levels. Diets of children 36-59 months were less than the demand for energy as recommendations, iron in the diet of children 36-47 months only 6.9mg/day was lower than recommendations. Calcium in the diet of children was only 67-86 percent compared to recommendations. Lipid in the diet was less than the demand as recommendations. The food availability in the local can provide fully 4 food groups: glucid, proteins, lipids, vitamins and minerals.
