Results: The rate of P53 gene mutations in patients with colorectal polyps is 2/46 (4.4 percent). Mutations occurred in exon 7 at position 249 with heterozygous mutation type. P53 gene mutations only occur in patients with single polyp sessile and half stalk, with dimensions larger than 10 mm. The authors don't find P53 gene mutations in patients with multiple polyps, stemmed polyps, polyps sized 10mm. P53 mutations appear on adenoma polyps, are found in both of moderate and severe dysplasia and accounting for 8.3 percent on a total of 12 polyps with dysplasia.
