This article presents influences of the credit fund model, which belongs to the project on community mechanisms in reduction of the HIV/AIDS impacts in Vietnam, on the changes in household-based economic activities of the disadvantaged groups. It also introduces different ways of propaganda, training, changes of awareness and behaviors and healthcare of the disadvantaged groups, as well as those of other groups in. the project areas. Based on these data, the author produces evidence of successful results of the participatory projects to help community development and policy makers in Vietnam.
