The results showed adsorption of PANi-peanut shell nanocomposite by chemical method for cadmium ion in aqueous solution. The Cd(II) adsorption ability of the nanocomposite depends on contact time and pH value. The experimental adsorption data fitted into both pseudo - Langmuir and pseudo-Freundlich adsorption isotherm models. The adsorption followed pseudo-second order kinetic model very well. The maximum adsorption capacity of that nanocomposite was 156.25 mglg which calculated from the pseudo-Langmuir equation.
