In patients with cirrhosis, assessment of mortality risk is a key factor in the clinical management. Within the last decade, several prognostic scores have emerged. The authors aimed to evaluate and compare the predictive performance of the ABIC, DF, MELD, Glasgow score in a population cohort of patients with severe cirrhosis. The results showed 7 days mortality rate was 10.8 percent,30 days - 24.5 percent. At first day, median of prgonostic were: ABIC - 7.4, DF - 41 , MELD 18.2, Glasgow - 7.4. The cut-off of ABIC, DF, MELD, Glasgow predicting 7 days mortality was: 8.83
52.63
27
7 (AUROC: 0.67
0.62
0.78
0.69). The cut-off of ABIC, DF, MELD, Glasgow predicting 30 days mortality was: 7.94
58.18
20
7 (AUROC: 0.83
0.83
0.85
0.85). MELD score is a better prognostic model than the other score in predicting in hospitalital mortality first week. The models had similar predictive properties with AUROC 0.8 for 30 day mortality. In conclusion, MELD is more valuable model than the other score at first week but the same ability prognostic for 30 day mortality.
