 Noninvasive positive-pressure ventilation (NPPV) improves respiratory muscle fatigue and arterial blood gases in acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The study was to assess clinical and paraclinical responses and outcomes of NPPV in patients with acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
