Objective: To evalueted the results of varicocelectomy by onen inguinal in the No.103 Hospital. Material and method: All the patients varicocele underwent the open inguinal varicocelectomy in the department of urology, No.103 Hospital from July 2010 to December 2011 with the following indications: long-term scrotal pain, abnormal semen parameters and testicular atrophy. Results: 41 patients was opereted, the age range from 13 to 41 years old (mean: 24.8), 95.1 percent of varicocele was on the left and 4.9 percent was on bilateral. Varicocele+long-term scrotal pain: 11 patients, varicocele+abnormal semen parameters: 25 patients and varicocele+testicular atrophy: 5 patients. Postoerative: 83 percent percent patients in freedom of pain, the diameter of the internal spermatic vein is smaller than 2mm on ultrasound: 7/21 patients. Conclusion: Varicocele are common, treatement of varicocele is nesessary. The open inguilal varicocelectomy is the simple and effective technique.
