 The selected voluntary blood donors decrease infectious disease risks by blood transfusion and supply safe blood for patients. Objects: investigate HIV, HSV, HCV, syphilis, malaria infectious rate of voluntary blood donors and raletive risks of those in General Hoa Binh Hospital. Subjects: Total 6455 voluntary blood donors in General Hoa Binh Hospital during 20072012. Methods: 6455 voluntary blood donors screened HIV, HSV, HCV, syphilis, malaria tests. Results and conclusions: positive rate of HSsAg 2.9 percent
  HCV 0.4 percent
  HIV 0:05 percent
  syphilis 0.1 percent and no case of malaria. HBsAg (+) 4.5 percent of both 30-39, 40-49 age groups. Hey (+) 0.9 percent of 30-39 age group. Male HIV (+) 0.02 percent, Female HIV (+) 0.1 percent. Male syphilis (+) 0.2 percent, no case of female syphilis.
