Objectives: Determine the knowledge and practice on ARV treatment of HIV/AIDS patients associated with adherence. Method: cross-sectional descriptive study combined retrospective. Interviewed 247 HIV/AIDS patients on antiretroviral treatment last at least one month in knowledge and treatment practices. Data analysis using SPSS software. Result: mesure patient's adherence by checking the medication file at each follow-up time, the rate of good adhernce is 68.4 percent. The rate of ,patients with good adherence, good knowledge of ART (75.9 percent), higher than the group average and poor adherence (24.1 percent), P 0,05. Statistically significant correlation between knowledge and adherence with p0.05 OR 0.05. Conclusion: Maintain knowledge and proper practice of medicine is an important support for good adherence in antiretroviral treatment for HIV/AIDS patients.
