Aims: Identifying the percentage and style of perceptive hearing loss in HIV/AIDS patients
the relation between hearing loss level and decrease T CD4 cells, Materials and methods: prospective study, 126 positive HIV patients were done audiologic and tympanometry test in ENT hospital of Ho Chi Mnh city. Results: 65/126 (51.5 percent) was hearing loss the both, among the priority is level I ( 20.6 percent) and the most is perceptive hearing loss (67.7 percent). The rest of them is 30.9 percent (level II, III, IV...). Having relation reversed between hearing loss and CD4 with meaning statistics (r = -0.557 with p 0.006). It means the hearing loss becomes higher and higher when the TCD4 account becomes lower and lower. Conclusions: 51.5 percent positive HIV patients were been perceptive hearing loss the both having the sharp "V" word on 4000H. The hearing loss becomes higher and higher when the TCD4 account becomes lower and lower.
