Natural reserves in the North-West mountainous area of Vietnam are very rich in potentials for the development of ecologic tourism, in particular the ones of Hoang Lien (Lao Cai), Muong Nhe (Lai Chau) and Xuan Nha (Son La). There must be right directions in developing ecotourism in the North-West area: first of all, to estabfish programmes of development
to determine ecotourism centres, with priority given to Hoang Lien Natural Reserves
to invest sufficiently in Natural Reserves
to educate and give large information on ecotourism potentials
to take care of the improvement of local residents' living standard
to mobilize and create good conditions for the local community to participate in the development of ecologic tourism.
