Lao Cai province determined that the minority education has a particularly important role for socioeconomic development. If the quality of minority education is improved, the quality of education in the province will be raised. In the period 2006-2012, the People's Committee of Lao Cai has additional solutions to improve the quality of minority education, including research on bilingual education on the basis of mother tongue as central task. So far, Lao Cai has achieved a number of accomplishments, including the remarkable success of the training and retraining of teachers of bilingual education.
