After tested with 1179 fallen trees of 34 common species in natural forests North Central region, the two out of seven tested equations, Schumacher-Hall and Spurr, were selected to present the relationship between the tree volume with the diameter at breast height and the tree height Cross-validation with other 465 tree from 31 species which was not used in the previous tests indicated that the equation (1) of Schumacher-Hall is the most appropriate ones. The finding suggested this equation can be used to investigate 34 tree species with required reliability in the actual production in natural forests in the North Central region.
