 Diseases pattern of children in Infectious Disease Department of National Hospital of Pediatrics is changing through out 30 years. This research was performed to study diseases pattern of children in Infectious Disease Department from 2006 to 2010. The number of patient increased in t/:le recent years. 2006: 3.03 percent of all patients of NHP
  2007: 5.36 percent
  2008: 5.44 percent
  2009: 9.70 percent
  2010: 6.99 percent. The most common of diseases were: viral encephalomeningitis, bacterial meningitis, influenza, viral pneumonia, infectious diarrhea, Dengue fever, septicemia, VZV infections, measles, HIV. Some epidemic diseases were H1N1, Dengue Hemorrhage Fever, measles appeared in 2009. The inpatients with HIV/AIDs decreased from 137(2006) to 62 (2010). The dead cases of HIV/AIDs reduced from 23 (2007) to 8(2010). The outpatients with HIV/AIDs increased from 176 in 2006 to 1010 in 2010
  and 73 patients in 2006 to 404 patients in 2010 have been treated with ARV. The most common causes (in cerebrospinal fluid) of vira encephalomeningitis were Japanese encephalitis virus and were trending to decrease (104 cases in 2006 and 79 cases in 2010). EV and HSV encephalomeningitis also were common. Hemophilus Influenza are the top causes of bacterial meningitis (21cases in 2009 and were trending to decrease), Streptococcus pneumonie also were common (15 cases in 2009), TB meningitis were trending to increase (7 cases in 2010). 27.5 percent in 652 samples of cerebrospinal fluid had positive result with bacteria.
