The complexity of construction projects in general and of transportation projects in particular in Vietnam has been increasing rapidly. The evaluation and measurement of complexity for a project is an important and necessary work. This paper presents a model of measuring the complexity for a transportation project in Vietnam using the AHP method through a Complexity Index (CI). An example which illustrates the application of the model to the three transportation projects in the Northern, the Central and the Southern Vietnam is also presented in this paper.
