Firstly, the article discusses the exchanges between China and Vietnam in history from which we can see the process of spreading of the three religions Confucianism-Buddhist- Taoism to Vietnam and their influences
simultaneously, their impact as sources for ideological tenets of traditional religious sects in Vietnam. Then, it discusses about the migration of Chinese people to Vietnam during the Ming and Qing Dynasties to learn about the cross-cultural/religious relationship between the two countries. The emergence of common religious sects during the Ming and Qing Dynasties made the history of Chinese common beliefs turn to a new page of history. Meanwhile, common religious sects in South Vietnam also brought a new spirit for the history of Vietnamese religions In this spirit, religions were popularized, simplified, concretized and pragmatized. The birth of common religious sects is an important product of cultural crystallization during contemporary penod of Vietnam. Common religious sects have remarkable contnbution to the need of harmonlsmg and balancing old and new cultural values in present day.
