Composition Writing is a practical subject. To be more exact. the knowledge and skills in text formation are only detailed, formed and developed through practice activities. When it comes to the conduct of composition writing activity, it can be seen that exercises are an important tool, facilitating the teacher to orientate the content that needs drilling and practising. This article is focused on investigating some exercise types used to drill patterns of argument for senior high school students.
