RNA extracting stuff is currently imported with pretty high cost, that is not always applicable to such low living standard clinical stations. The authors therefore designed an in-house receipt for the formulation of income-relevant RNA extraction solvent from Guanidine thiocyanate, Tris-HCl, amonium thiocyante, Glycerol, amonium acetate and phenol. In order to easily to discuss and differentiate from the commercial analogue, the authors dubbed the RNA extracting solvent as 108SHPTrizoi. The result showed that the RNA samples prepared by 108SHPTrizoi and by Invitrogene Trizol gave comparable quantity, in term of optical density absorbance (OD) (concentration was 155,8 + or - 136.4 ng/ul vs. 145 + or - 138.8
p=0,89 and OD was 1,84 + or - 0,17 vs. l,79 + or - 0,18
p=0,87). The quality of RNA samples extracted by 108SHPTrizoi also did not vary significantly from those mined Invitrogene Trizol in term of RNA electrophoresis mobility assays and internal - control - cDNA quantification. However, the price of 108SHPTrizoi is 23 times less than that, imported from oversea supplier. Thus, an in-house recipe for blood - diseases - related RNA extraction RNA solvents has been created that is 23 times cheaper than similar products, imported from oversea vendors.
