This paper summarizes the satellite image technology in global positioning system GPS and the application in different fields for the national economy. The initial study on satellite images and related softwares have been widely used around the world. Application of satellite images has been conducted on airport planning and design in many airport construction investment projects. GPS technology, GIS and RS in transportation have also been applied.
