The clinical signs, pathological changes in the PRRS infected pigs were clearly identified in an our study. From 50 samples of PRRS suspected pigs collected, 15 pigs infected with PRRSV were exactly diagnosed by using RT-PCR. These positive samples were used for isolation of virus in the Marc145 cell media, and virus were successfully isolated. The biological and molecular characteristics of isolated PRRSV were investigated. 5 strains of PRRSV with stable biological and molecular characteristics were selected for further study in producing inactivated vaccine against PRRSV.
