 Objectives: To describe the clinical features and to analyse the affecting factors of diabetic vitreous hemorrhage. Patients and Methods: prospective descriptive no-control study on patients with diabetic retinopathy who were treated at the National Institute of Ophthalmlogy from Mars 2011 to August 2011. Results: 31 patients (38 eyes) were seen: The majority was old patients
  51.6 percent had diabetes mellitus more than 10 years. 80 percent had vitreous hemorrhage of grade II or III with low VA (less than 20/400 in 84.2 percent). The relation between the severity of vitreous hemorrhage and type of diabetes, the control of glycemia was not yet proven. The arterial hypertension influenced significantly the vitreous hemorrhage. Conclusion: Diabetic vitreous hemorrhage was usually severe which happened after many years of suffering and strongly related with hyprtension.
