Objectives: Characterization delusions and hallucinations in patients with major depressive disorder with psychotic. Material and method: Includes all of the patients were diagnosed with severe TC phase psychotic symptoms in ICD-10 criteria (1992) are inpatient at a Mental hospital of Hai Phong from 8/2010 to 8/2012. Result: Male 71.7 percent, female 28.3 percent, male/female = 1/2.5. Aged 21-30 accounted for the highest percentage of 52.2 percent. Characteristics depressive syndrome: When charging depression, loss of interest, fatigue, sleep disturbances seen in 100 percent of patients. Pessimistic thoughts have 97.8 percent, 93.5 percent appetite. Reduced attention 89.1 percent, 89.1 percent decrease self-esteem, ideas accusing 86.9 percent. There are 80.4 percent of patients had ideas and suicidal behavior including suicide with drugs was 47.1 percent. Characteristics of paranoia and hallucinations: Pure paranoid 58.7 percent, 34.8 percent combined with paranoid delusions, hallucinations are only 6.5 percent,paranoid mood consistent with a high proportion (76.7 percent paranoid selfincriminating, paranoid hypochondriac 39.5 percent), paranoid inconsistent with rare mood (paranoia being watched 18,6 percent). 41.3 percent hallucinations, auditory hallucinations which accounted for 73.7 percent, 10.5 percent visual hallucinations, delusions khac 15.8 percent.
