 Objectives: to evaluate the clinical features and treatment results of cataract in corneal penetrating injuries. Patients: 106 patients with cataract in corneal penetrating injuries. Methods: prospective clinical inteventional study. To describe the clinical forms of cataract in corneal penetrating injuries and the treatment results in term of VA and complications. Results: most of the cases were cataract due to anterior capsular breaks (accountedfor 52.8 percent). After 3 months, the VA was improved in 99.1 percent
  74.5 percent had VA of 20/200 or better. The IOP was normalized in 81.1 percent after 2 weeks and in 89.7 percent after 3 months. Complications were seen in 34.9 percent including uveitis (27.4 percent), PCO (14.1 percent) and phthisis bulbi (0.9 percent). Conclusion: the cataract due to corneal penetrating injuries varied tremendously with limited visual outcome due to complications.
