Oropharyngeal cancer is one of the most common cancer of the Head and Neck and one of ten the most common in Vietnam. The clinical features of this cancer is very clear but always was ignored by patient because of infection or other benign ulceration. Objectives: Research of clinical characteristics and pathologfc finding of the oropharyngeal cancer at the Ear, Nose and Throat Department - Cho Ray Hospital in Hochiminh City from 1-2011 to12-2012. Patients and methods: 62 patients was diagnoses and treatment at the Ear, Nose and Throat Department - Cho Ray Hospital. This was statistic descriptive and retrospective study. Results: The ages of patient from 18 to 86 year old, and the most from 40 to 60 year old, male was 62.9 percent, female was 37.1 percent. The most sites of this tumor in two locations: tongue (51.6 percent) and tonsils (37.1 percent). Pathologic finding was most Squamous cell carcinoma with all of type of several differentiations (88.7 percent) and Non Hodgkin Lymphoma (11.3 percent). Conclusion: Oropharyngeal cancer was most seen in male than female and the sites of this cancer were tongue, pharyngeal tonsils and the pathologic finding of this cancer.
