By studying 47 patients with elderly gastric ulcers at Thai Binh Medical University the authors have found out that: Most patients met in the age group 60-64 (53.1 percent ) followed by 65-69 (31.9 percent). Gastric ulcers are common in men than women, the percentage of male/female is 2.6/1. Through gastroscopy 47 patients found a total of 66 ulcers, number of patients have 1 ulcer owning ratio of 68.1 percent, 2 ulcers owning ratio of 25.5 percent, from three or more ulcers accounted for 6.4 percent. Gastric ulcers are common in the antrum (60.6 percent), corner of small curved shore stomach (36.4 percent). The percentage of patients with ulcer activity is 72.7 percent, ulcer healing scar is 27.3 percent.
