The prospective study to isolate bacteria from sputum of patients with community-acquired .pneumonia and hospital-acquired pneumonia, who were treated in the Department of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases - the Military Central Hospital from May 2009 to July 2011 and assess their sensitivity to antibiotics. Results: In the communityacquired pneumonia group: M. catarrhalis (48.8 percent), K. pneumoniae (22.6 percent), S. pneumoniae (15.5 percent)
in the hospitalacquired pneumonia group: P. aeruginosa (44.4 percent), K. pneumoniae (36.1 percent). Antibiotic sensitive rates were as follows: M. catarrhalis sensitive Meronem 95.3 percent, Amikacin 69.8 percent, the third generation Cephalosporin 65.1-88.4 percent, Quinolon groups 23.2-34.8 percent. K. pneumoniae sensitive Meronem 93.7 percent, Amikacin 71.8 percent, the third generation Cephalosporin 56.4-78.1 percent, Quinolon groups 12.5-21.8 percent. S. pneumoniae sensitive Meronem 93.3 percent, Amikacin 66.6 percent, Quinolon 33.453.2 percent. P. aeruginosa sensitive Meronem 73.8 percent, Amikacin 36.8 percent, Quinolon 15.8 percent.
