From Slai Diep trees (Mosla chinensis Maxim) in Bac Can province and Nha Can Khau trees (Salvia plebeian R Br) in Cao Bang province, which are mainly materials in traditional alcohol fermentations, 11 yeast strains were isolated and identified using 26S rDNA in D1/D2 domain sequences including 1A, lB,2, 4, 5, 6, 7 A, 7B, 9B, BK1 and BM strains. In the result, 02 strains belong to Meyerozyma guilliennondii, 01 was Candida carpophila, and 07 strains were Meyerozyma caribbica and 01 strain was considered a new species from published species. The results are base for studying, preserving and developing of traditional alcohols of minority peoples in the moutain-Northem area of Vietnam.
