Background: Among the malignant tumors oj the digestive system, pancreatic carcinomas are relatively common, whit apoor the prognosis. Objectives: to study the gross features and the histopathological typing of the pancreatic carcinoma. Materials and Methods: 45 pancreatic tumors were totally rescted to study systematically minutely morphological fearture (including tumor size, limit, gross density...) and histological typing caccording to the who 2000 classification of routine section (HE and PAS staining). Results: 100 percent of all panireatic carcinamas are unique whith 71,1 percent located in the head. The tumor size under 5cm acconting for 66. 7 percent, tumors without the capsule and poor limitation are common: 84.4 percent, solid tumor: 77.8 percent Histopathologically, the most frequent type is adenocarcinoma (62.2 percent), then the adenosquamous carcinoma type (16.2 percent), the others are rare. Conclusions: The most frequent location of the pancreatic carcinomas is found in the head of the gland, they are solitary, usually solid without capsule and poor limitation
the adenocarcinoma is dominant type.
