The paper indicated forest co-management activity in De Xu Phing commune as stakeholders in forest comanagement activities
identified an important level of forest resource to life of local people in the commune. Forest range station, local government as well as village partnership and leader on behaft of management board play an important role in participation of local people in co-management process. Especially, forest range accounts for up to 54 percent of interviewee on providing information on co-management for them. Quality of forest that has been managed by management board is increasing significanlty and awareness on forest management is also strengenth. Allocated forest area has been applied by rehabilitation technique
increasing awareness of local people on forest havesting will impact on their life but illegal harvesting and huntting activities will be reduced
regulation on protection and havesting forest products has been established
forest is protected by convention and regulation of the village instead of family
local livelihood of the local people has been improved under the support of state. Therefore, forest co-management form needs to be remained and developed in the coming time period. State and local government needs to have policies that can promote villages out side of conservation area can be participated in co-management in order to improve effetive management of existing forest, community spirit and contribute to improverment life condition of participating households.
