 Aims: comparison result of auto skin graft taken from scalp and other sites' on deep bum wound. Objective and method: A prospective study conducted on 35 bum patients with 47 procedures of scalp skin graft and 64 time of skin graft taken from other body sites on granulation or immediately after excision. Manifestation, taken rate of skin and scar after 6 month of operation were compared between two groups. Results: Epithelization rate was significantly faster than in group with skin taken from scalp (4.32 + or - 1.17 vs. 6.64 + or - 1.28 days with mesh graft and 6.48 + or - 2.13 vs. 8.19 + or - 2.15 with post stamp graft
  p 0.05). The taken rate was also higher among area grafted by skin taken from scalp (p 0.05). No significant difference was noted among two groups after 6 months of operation. Conclusion: Partial thickness skin graft taken from scalp has higher taken rate as well as epithelization speed as compared to skin taken from other body parts. Scar formation and development is noted the same between two groups.
