Cross-matching in AHG phase has performed in National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (NIHBT) since 2007 to ensure compatibility about red blood cell blood group systems between patient and donor in order to improve transfusion safety quality and. The authors carry out this reseach to assess results of this test in ensuring of transfusion safety. Objects: "Study on result of compability test in AHG phase in the patients had blood disoder diseases in NIHBT from 2009 to 2010". Materials: 658 patients who had blood disoder diseases were transfused packed red blood cell (1814 participators) from the 1st December 2009 to the 31st March 2010. Methods: Using gelcard method on Hemos SPII automachine system to cross-match in AHG phase for the patients who were transfused blood. Results: There were 58 patients with positive reaction in AHG phase among 658 patients who had blood disoder diseases were transfused packed red blood cell (made up 8.8 percent). Man's ratio of positive reaction in AHG phase was 5.6 percent, woman's ratio of positive reaction in AHG phase was 11.5 percent. Ratio of positive reaction in AHG phase was 19.6 percent.in myelodysplastic syndrome patients, the highest ratio of positive reaction in AHG phase was found in patients with A blood group. Conclusions: Ratio of positive reaction in AHG phase in patients who were transfused blood was 8,8 percent. Ratio of positive reaction in AHG phase in woman is higher than man (11.5 percent and 5.6 percent). The patients with Thalassaemia and the patients with A blood group had the highest ratio of positive reaction in AHG phase (19.6 percent and 9.3 percent).
