Objective: Study on the relationship between cardiovascular disease, hypertension and some physical activity habits and lifestyle in the elderly. Subjects and methods: The study of 200 elderly in Hanoi, interviewed a number of factors related to lifestyle through pre-eJesigned questionnaire. Results: elderly smoking rate was 41.7 percent, including 72.5 percent of cardiovascular disease and 70 percent hypertension higher than the elderly does not smoke (67.9 percent and 55.6 percent). The elderly drinking wine 86.5 percent, including 72.3 percent have cardiovascular disease and 68.7 percent hypertension. The difference was not statistically significant (p 0.05). The elderly do not exercise accounted for 67.5 percent, including 61.5 percent of heart disease and hypertensive disease 54.1 percent higher than the non-exercise group without disease (38.5 percent and 45.9 percent), the difference in the cardiovascular disease group was statistically significant (p 0.05). Conclusion: The data is basis of reasonable advice prevention chronic disease for the elderly.
