The Study to find out the changes in basic morphological characteristics of students from the Kinh, H'mong, Dao in Yen Bai province. The research was carried out on target groups including 7781 students (3390 males and 3881 females) aged 6 to 17
and from 10 Primary schools, 10 Secondary schools, 3 High schools and 1 Continuing education center. The research results show that: students' standing height, weight, the average chest, BMI climbs gradually over age, rising rapidly at time of puberty. The time of the sharp growth about the index of females is earlier than ma.les. approximately 1-2 years. The indexes including standing height, weight, chest, BMI of Kinh students are larger than Dao and H'mong. Pig net index of students increase gradually from 6-14 in males and 6-13 in females and then ste,adily decrease. The Pignet index of Kinh, Dao, Hmong students is in the average weak groups. The morphological physical indexes of Kinh students have better value than the corresponding value in "The biological values of the normal Vietnamese in the 90s - 20th century" and the previous studies. While these indicators in H'mong and Dao students are lower and equivalent.
