Tóm tắt

Roundabouts are popularly used in many countries all over the world. Vietnam is not an exception. It can be seen that vehicles normally decelerate when approaching a roundabout and accelerate when going out of the intersection. This results in the significant difference between the loads of pavement inside and outside the roundabout, affecting evidently calculation results of pavement designs, especially the ones constructed from cement concrete which is encouraged in Vietnam. Besides, geometric characteristic of the roundabout with curves requires appropriate and specific regulations for the said pavement and associate factors.
