Many mushroom species having bioactivity compounds have been used in folk medicine for thousands of years, especially in China, Korea and Japan. Medicinal mushrooms are now the subject of study for many researchers as the ability of some mushrooms to inhibit tumor growth and enhance immune system and other medicinal value. In Ba Vi National Park, 168 mushroom species growing on wood were collected and identified in which 44 species were considered as medicinal mushrooms. Most of them belong to Ganodermataceae and Polyporaceae families, some species belong to Hymenochaetaceae and Auriculariaceae families. There are 24 species distributed on an altitude of from 400 m to below 800 m, 14 species on from 800 m to below 1,100 m and 10 species on 1,100-1,200 m above sea level. Two species Trametes corrugata and Trametes convgata distribute largely from 400 m to 1,200 m above sea level. Measures for conservation and utilization of these medicinal mushrooms distributed in Bavi National Park were discussed.
