Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) causes endemic or epidemic outbreaks of CHIK fever, which typically manifests as a fever, rash and arthritis. To develop a CHIKV-spedfic serological diagnostic test, capsid recombinant protein expressed vector was designed and expressed on the E.coli system. SD5-PAGE and Western blot were applied and analyzed to show that the recombinant protein was expressed and the molecular weights of structural capsid proteins was 42-44 Kd.
