Study on 5 patients (age ranging from 2 to 20 days) with gonococcal conjunctivitis. Objective: study of clinical manifestations and treatment effectiveness. Method: case study. Result showed that: gonococcal conjunctivitis in 5 newborns occurs during the first week of life. Clinical symptoms are acute: erythema and swollen of the eyelids, purulent eye discharge, patients could not open eyes, fever 37.5oC - 38oC. The presence of Neisseria gonorrhoeae are confirmed by Gram stain. The treatment is high efficacy by Ceftriaxone 50mg/kg /time/day, IM for 3 days: the clinical and laboratory results of five patients were normal.
