Obiective: Evaluate the primary results of 10 patients suffered from a com plate acromioclavicular separation following trauma. Material and method: Retro-descriptive study based on CRF of 10 patients who were operated on by surical repair of the coracoclavicular joint separation using the palmaris longus tendons at the department of orthopaedics and trauma, Nam dinh genaral hospital. Results: From Feb.2010 to Jun 2011, 10 patients including 6 males and 4 females, agerange from 21-54 age: Cause of the most often is traffic accidents (6 patients), associated lessions: one inferior radial fracture and one thoracic trauma: Rackwood classification: type III, 5 patients, type IV, 4 patients, type V, 1 patient and no type VI. The diameter of the greffon: 3mm in 3 patiens
4mm in 5 patients and 5mm in 2 patients. There was not any severe postoperative complication. Classification of results according to Kawabe: Excellent in 8 patients,good in 2 patients. Conclusion: The surgical repair using palmaris longus tendons for the coracoclavicular joint separation is a safe and effective procedure.
