Success in culture of sturgeon in recirculation system will eliminate the dependence of cage culture in reservoirs on water resource as well as fluctuations of environmental conditions due to seasonal changes in reservoirs of Vietnam. The recirculation system for growing out sturgeons was designed including growing out tanks, settlement tanks and biofilter. The sturgeons cultured in recirculation system showed better results than the ones cultured in cages. The fish of 417g in recirculation system cultured at 8.21 kg/m3 got growth rate of 7.54g per day, all survived and reached a density of 61.67 kg/m3. Meanwhile fish of 401g cultured in cages got growth rate of 6.96 g per day, survival of 96.7 percent and reach a density of 33.72 kg/m3. The fish cultured in recirculation system help increasing ability to control and maintain a stable environmental condition therefore give a higher density compared to the ones cultured in cages. Culture of fish in recirculation system gave a benefit of 45.2 percent. The results indicated that the culture of sturgeon in recirculation system is suitable to the conditions of Vietnam.
