Xuan Thuy National Park in Nam Dinh province is the unique coastal Ramsar of Vietnam. It has coastal estuarine ecosystems are important both ecologically and socio-economic. Mangrove areas along the border Ba Lat covers an area of over 7,100 hectares, is the destination of the international migratory birds in the International Red Book. Research results from 2007 to 2010 shows that the number of wading birds variation is not large, but since 2010 the number has tended to decline, particularly Eurynorhynchus pygmeus was no longer seen to appear in the garden. The factors affecting the decline in the number of birds in the garden as encroachment to the sea, so farming shrimp ect. The survey featured 14 habitat types at Xuan Thuy National Park shows two main habitat for birds live and foraging are: shrimp habitat, silt sediment Glay. At 55 point of nutrients were determined by a global positioning system GPS combined with geographic information system GIS obtained result: Mycteria leucocephala 2/15 point adaptive 13.33 percent, Larus saundersi: 1/10 point very adaptive 10 percent, Platalea minor: 4/17 point very adaptive accounting for 23.53 percent. From the above results show that problem of conservation areas inhabited of wading birds in Xuan Thuy National Park is particularly important and needed effective measures to preserve this precious ecosystem.
