The study is aimed to investigate the phylogenetic relationship among 20 cucumber cultivars/lines by using random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers. A modified CTAB DNA extraction' protocol was used to obtain genomic DNA from young leaves. Of twenty two random primers tested only fifteen were able to successfully amplify genomic DNA samples and 74 from total recorded 85 bands showed polymorphic. A phylogenetic tree was obtained by using UPGMA analysis. The results indicated a similarity coefficient among cultivars/lines varying from r=0.27 to r=l. At r=0.75 the examined group of cucumber cultivars/lines could be divided into 7 distinct subgroups designed from A to G, in which the lines originated from imported hybrid varieties were distinct from Vietnamese local cultivars.
