X-ray residual stress determination method has many advantages in comparison with other methods because it can nondestructively and accurately determine residual stress. This study simulated the sin2p diagrams of Cr-Ka characteristic X-rays for cold-rolled low carbon steels having texture and four basic kinds of stress gradient in the normal direction. An analysis for Fe (211) diffraction plane was used.
