Among 20,345 underwent ultrasonography for fetal defect screening, there were 926 fetuses identified as having fetal defect. Some fetuses were with multiple defects, which made totally 1,206 fetal defects. Abdominal wall defects consisted of 13.76 percent of the total number of fetal defects detected, seconding after neural tube defects. Gastroschisis and omphalocele consisted of 72.29 percent of the total abdominal wall defects. There were 15.66 percent of total fetal defects with combined abdomInal wall defect and neural tube defect, highest among the multiple defect combinations. There were 151 out of 154 women and families came to an aborlion decision after receiving counseling.
