Objects: Describe and evaluate short-term results in treatment of the congenital heart disease transposition of the great arteries in National Hospital of Pediatrics Hanoi, Viet Nam. Methods: From 2009 November to 2011 December, 61 consecutive transposition of the great artery patients underwent total correction in National Hospital of Pediatrics Hanoi, Viet Nam. Results: The survival rate was 88 percent for transposition of the great artery patients in short-term follow up. Conclusions: The result of total correction for transposition of the great artery is influenced by a "learning curve", especially for new team work.
