Objectives: Description of anterior communicating aneurysmal morphology and anomalies of anterior cerebral artery complex (ACA). Methods: Prospective study of 67 ACoA aneurysms undelWent surgery at the Department of Neurosurgery, Viet Duc Hospital from 1/2012 to 6/2013. Results: 38 males:29 females (2:1,5), mean age 49,5 (19-77). Aneurysmal morphology: small size 64,2 percent, anterior projection 44,8 percent, left origin 77,6 percent. Anomalies of ACA complex: contralateral A1 hypoplasia/aplasia 80,6 percent, accessory/fenestrated ACoA 13,4 percent, A2 anomalies 35,8 percent. Heubner artery originated A1/ACoA 50,7 percent, ACoA complex twisted 62,7 percent, superiorly or inferiorly tilted 41,8 percent. Conclusions: Analyzing the ACoA aneurysmal morphology and anomalies of ACA complex is neccesary in order to avoid intraoperative rupture or vascular injury during dissection.
