This paper presents Subtractive Clustering (SC) algorithm which can automatically estimate the number of clusters and cluster centres in a dataset. The cluster estimates of SC can be used to initialize iterative data for building Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) with an example of Suburban Commuting in New Castle County, Delaware. An orther application of SC is performed to segment gray image. This paper also introduces Fuzzy Subtrative Clustering (FSC), an extended of SC with using fuzzy parameter m in potential expression.
