Prince Myingun is King Mindon Min's son of Konbaung Dynasty (1752-18815) in Myanmar. After the rebellion in 1866 to dethrone his father failed, Myingun lived in exile in many places and finally, with the help of the French, Myingun went to Saigon in April 11, 1889. Myingun lived in Saigon for 32 years until his death on 20 September 1921. Myingun had three wives, including a Vietnamese. His wife and children lived quite successfully on manufacturing Mac-Phsu balm which was very popular in the South of Vietnam before 1975. The relationship between Vietnam and Myanmar in history is not mentioned much. So, the fact that the exiled Prince Myingun lived in exile in Saigon and the contribution of his descendants by the famous brand of Mac-Phsu balm isworth mentioning in learning about the life of Saigon in the old days.
